About Nick

As a learning and development facilitator who takes an end-to-end consulting approach, Nick believes that strategic learning programs must be spread out over time, integrated into the workplace for application and designed as measurable performance improvement efforts.

He plays in a very unique space of using the creative power and influence of drama, experiential and adult learning techniques combined with contextual commercial insight to drive personal development, leadership influence and team performance.

Over time, Nick has learnt to engage effectively with cross cultural teams, across a range of leadership functions and seniority levels under conditions of continuing change, to people, timescales and resources.

Early Years

Nick discovered early in life that he was gifted with a natural ability to engage others through the use of performing arts techniques. He has performed in numerous theater productions with Phoenix Professional Players, Etcetera Productions & International Christian Center where he took on different roles as a play wright, director, producer, stage manager and actor. Nick later graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts from Egerton University.

Career Start

At the start of his corporate career, he joined Kencell Communications Ltd (now Airtel Kenya Ltd) in 2004 as a Corporate Account Manager. His key performance drivers were aimed at generating and growing profitable revenue streams across Key Corporate and Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) accounts in manufacturing and financial sectors.

His job provided him with great opportunities in learning the skills of developing and maintaining strong profitable relationships in business development. He excelled in building customer loyalty and retention by identifying the unique communication needs of every client, scoping and propositioning the right solutions and exceeding customer satisfaction in products and service delivery.

Best of Both Worlds

Passionate about human capital development and deriving inspiration from people’s growth and success, Nick moved from his corporate job seven years later. He now brings the combined skills of acting, serving unique client needs and relationship building into the general learning and development area.
